Bios

Melissa Y. Perez is a Mexican-American filmmaker from Victorville, CA. She is a 2016 AFI Conservatory Directing alumna, a 2014 OUTSET alumna and a Latino Donor Collaborative & Women in Film Scholar. Her work often centers on themes of conflicting identities within family, sexuality and mental health. STILL DEVOUT is her latest short film.
