Description

In an effort to improve feminine hygiene, a machine that creates low-cost biodegradable sanitary pads is installed in a rural village in Northern India.

Bios

Rayka Zehtabchi is an Iranian-American film director based in Los Angeles. Her directorial debut, MADARAN, qualified for the 89th Academy Awards® and screened at festivals worldwide. Zehtabchi’s senior thesis film at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, WE HOME, stars Ashton Sanders of MOONLIGHT and Lonnie Chavis of NBC’s THIS IS US. Zehtabchi is currently developing her debut feature and supporting PERIOD. END OF SENTENCE. as it plays at film festivals around the country.
