ANNE AT 13,000 FT New Auteurs

ANNE AT 13,000 FT

US Premiere

Talent attending: Dan Montgomery (Producer), Kazik Radwanski (Director)

Anne works at a Toronto daycare with her best friend Sarah. Most of her social and professional interactions are awkward and erratic – whether arguing about a cup of coffee at work or introducing her on-and-off again boyfriend to her parents. When Anne goes skydiving for Sarah’s bachelorette party, she feels a release and sense of clarity which acts as a tipping point for her mental fragility.

Derah Campbell’s layered and dynamic performance as Anne draws us into an intimate portrait of a volatile, young woman struggling to find her place in society. With his third feature, Kaz Radwanski establishes his talents within modern Canadian cinema and explores the complexities of mental illness with great empathy. –Sarah Harris
