BLOW THE MAN DOWN New Auteurs

BLOW THE MAN DOWN

On the night of their mother’s funeral, the Connelly sisters’ lives become much more complicated. After learning about the massive debts left by their mother, the sisters are forced to cover up a deadly act of self-defense (and the ice cooler holding the body). In their desperation to hide their secret, other mysteries come into focus and the sisters quickly realize their sleepy seaside town of Easter Cove, Maine is not as quaint as they thought.

BLOW THE MAN DOWN is a clever debut from two very promising filmmakers, Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. The directors craft a witty and layered noir featuring a stellar ensemble cast of women (including a sublimely sly performance by Margo Martindale) and a chorus of sea shanty-singing fishermen. –Sarah Harris

Wesleyan University graduates Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy met on a film set in Coney Island. They immediately bonded over a shared love of character-driven stories and juicy filmmaking styles. They teamed up on numerous music videos, shorts and writing projects. BLOW THE MAN DOWN is their feature debut.
