The evening will celebrate the AFI Life Achievement Award recipient and Academy Award^® winner’s indelible impact on culture as one cinema’s most acclaimed filmmakers. Following a conversation with Scorsese, AFI FEST will present his most recent film, Netflix’s THE IRISHMAN, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century.
