MADDEN tells a story about relating to your herd, duty versus longing, high-heeled shoes stepping in dung and heavy animal bodies thundering across a Scandinavian landscape – a forest of tall tree trunks between our protagonist and the outside world.

Bios

Born and raised on a farm on the Swedish countryside, Malin Ingrid Johansson might be one of the few directors who knows how to operate a tractor as well as a camera. She started out as a stills photographer before transitioning into directing music videos, art films and short films.
