An Anangu man road trips back to Aputula as memories from his childhood return, journeying from the oppression of white city life in Adelaide to seek spiritual healing and perform on sacred Inma ground.

Matthew Thorne is a South Australian filmmaker and artist whose work explores contemporary Australian identity, spirituality, the relationship to land, and masculinity through film, photography and reenactment. His recent docufiction MARUNGKA TJALATJUNU (2023) won the Silver Bear Jury Prize at the Berlinale.

Derik Lynch is an initiated Yankunytjatjara man. He is a performer, filmmaker and artist who grew up between Alice Springs and remote Communities in the Northern Territory and South Australia. He has worked both nationally and internationally in film, TV and theater, including performances at the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the Southbank Theatre in the UK.
