In 2023, Stud Country, the largest weekly queer line dancing event in America, which has preserved the little-known LA tradition for over 50 years, is confronted with losing its beloved venue.

Alexandra Kern is an award-winning filmmaker. She has produced commercial and acclaimed independent projects for artists such as Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X. Her directorial debut, the short documentary WILD MAGNOLIAS, screened at multiple Oscar®-qualifying film festivals and now holds a permanent place in the historical archive at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

Lina Abascal is a culture journalist, bestselling author, and first-time filmmaker. Her writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, WIRED, Billboard, VICE, Playboy, and more. She has consulted for brands including Spotify, Equinox, and Netflix for creative ad campaigns.
