Ruth was barely a teenager when her mother passed down her medallion, etched with a golden portrait of Nefertiti, a symbol of beauty and strength, captured by the communist military regime.

Bios

Ruth Hunduma is an Ethiopian-Australian writer, director and photographer based in London. She won the 2022 Roundhouse Film Fund and BFI Short Documentary Fund. Her films have premiered at the London Independent Film Festival, and she was shortlisted for the Guy Ritchie Creative Access mentorship program.
