Two outsiders — Maya, a Nepali immigrant working overnight to build a future, and Danny, an unhoused Black veteran searching for warmth and shelter — clash over where they each belong.

Bios

Deepak Rauniyar’s films have screened at major international festivals including Venice, Berlin and Toronto, and venues like the Museum of Modern Art. An alumnus of the Cannes Cinéfondation, Berlinale Talents and the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, he has also served on juries for the Locarno, Sydney and Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
