U.S. Premiere

In 2015, the Basateen al-Razi district of Damascus was destroyed as punishment for the population’s uprising against Bashar al-Assad’s regime. A decade later, memories are awakened, resisting deliberate erasure.

Bios

Antoine Chapon is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist whose work using cinema, CGI animation and archives has played at more than 40 festivals, including Sundance, Telluride, Palm Springs, Sarajevo and Visions du Reel. He is a Berlinale Talents alumnus and is currently writing his first feature documentary.
